SMS is an integrated, modern, Windows-based point of
sale and Store Management system equipped with an easy-to-use "ATM-like"
interface.
Ergonomic (Human Engineering) principles were important
drivers during the development of SMS. Font types and sizes, colour scheme,
screen layout, and transaction flows were carefully designed and tested
to minimise operator strain and to reduce the scope for errors.
The designers of SMS also put extensive effort into
identifying all typical disruptions that could impact point of sale. As
a result SMS is equipped with many features aimed specifically at making
the system more resilient, to maximise its uptime.
Each SMS cash register can operate independently, making
the store system immune to network and other failures.
